1ft USB-C Male to DVI-D Dual Link Female Adapter - White
The USB-C to DVI-D Dual Link adapter allows devices that support DisplayPort Alternate Mode to output onto a separate display at resolutions up to 2560 x 1400 60Hz.
DisplayPort Alternate Mode leverages the features provided by USB 3.1 to allow devices to output onto a separate display. (Note that resolution and refresh rates are dependent on the source device). It does this by repurposing the wires in USB 3.1 (USB 3.1 has 4 lanes / 8 wires).
Note that your source device must have DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Such devices include the 12" Apple Macbook , Google Chromebook Pixel (certain models), along with several other devices. If you plug in a non supported device, it will not damage the device, but no video will be displayed.
Compact / Portable Size
The USB-C adapter features a compact size, allowing on-the-go travel and convenient display expandability.
Alternate Mode
USB-C includes support for alternate mode. This allows users with alternate mode computers, laptops, and devices to connect to a display. As long as the device's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode, you're good to go. Note that your device may have support for other alternate mode configurations. These cannot be used interchangeably.

Dual Link !
Finally, an USB Type C to DVI DL adapter that supports resolutions higher than 1080p. I am using this to connect my old 30 inch monitor to my 2080 Ti. Running the monitor at 2560x1600 @ 60Hz. Very happy with the product.Converts
Works well for the AOC 28 inch monitor I'm using with my MacBook Pro.Works with single-link DVI monitors, but not with Cinema Display.
I've got an older Apple Cinema Display which takes DVI Dual Link input, and was hoping I could use this adapter to interface between the display and a 2017 Macbook Pro. With this adapter and the Apple Cinema Display, I get a slow-scanning garbled image. With this adapter and a different monitor (one that just needs DVI single-link, 1080p), everything works fine. I don't have any other dual-link displays to test this against. I'm disappointed that this doesn't work, as this appears to be an active adapter from DisplayPort alternate mode to DVI, it has all the pins necessary to be dual-link, and the specs say it should support 2560x1600, which is the resolution of the ACD.
