USB Powered IR Repeater Kit with Emitter and Receiver Cable

Designed to extend IR connections, this USB powered IR repeater is typically used when line of sight is blocked from your source device (e.g. A Blu-ray player that is not in direct line of sight of the remote). Plug the IR repeater into an available 5V USB port, and then plug the included IR emitter cable into the IR emitter slot (make sure the IR plug is pointing at the source device's IR) and then plug the included IR receiver cable into the IR target slot (this will be used for pointing the remote control).

Features

  • Extends an IR connection when the source cannot be controlled from line of sight
  • USB power receptacle with LED indicator for plugging into a standard 5V USB power adapter
  • Includes 1 x IR emitter for plugging into the source, such as a Blu-ray player and then 1 x IR receiver (target) for pointing the remote control
  • Can be paired with dual or 4-eye IR emitters for multiple control
  • Compact size for mounting near audio equipment
  • 30 feet operating range

Any standard 5V 500mA port will work. Typically, these USB ports are provided at the source or the television.
Placement of the IR emitter matters. Sometimes, issues may arise due to improper placement of the IR emitter or if the sensor on your device is partially obscured. For the most reliable connection, we recommend attaching the IR emitter directly to the IR sensor on your device. Sometimes, moving the IR emitter further away from the device (5-10cm) may also help the connection. We recommend experimenting with different placements before securing the emitter with the self-adhesive pads.
