Indoor PIR Motion Occupancy Sensor, Single Pole, 180 Degree Range, 1200 sq.ft, AC120V
For automated lighting control for commercial or residential applications, these indoor PIR occupancy sensors provide the solution. PIR or passive infrared sensors utilize heat in motion to detect presence, allowing lights to be turned on / off automatically. The occupancy sensor is UL listed, meeting power and safety requirements.
Modes of Operation
3 modes of operation are available on the sensor. In occupancy mode, the sensor will automatically turn on when it detects motion and turn off after a set time delay when motion is no longer detected. In vacancy mode, you set the "On" position manually, but the sensor will automatically turn off after a set time delay. The last setting is "Off" mode where the sensor is permanently opened, essentially acting like a regular light switch. These modes can be set by removing the small cover plate located at the front.
Time Delay Adjustment
Adjustment of time delay can also be set from 15 seconds to 30 minutes, allowing you to set the desired delay when the light will automatically shut off. These settings are located on the left knob located by opening the small cover plate in the front.
Sensor Sensitivity Range
The sensitivity range can also be set, allowing you to set the sensitivity level of the sensor. By default, it is set at the center. Turning to the left prevents false alerts, often times occurring in smaller rooms where it is near a doorway or heat source. Turning to the right increases the sensitivity range, perfect for use in covering larger spaces. These settings are located on the center knob located by opening the small cover plate in the front.
Ambient Light Level Sensor
Adjustment of ambient light allows you to set the level of ambient light where the sensor will operate. You can set the ambient light to day and night (always on operation) or activated when the ambient light is less than 30 Lux. These settings are located on the right knob located by opening the small cover plate in the front.
