10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit PoE Extender Switch, 60W Input (Requires POE-INJ-1000G-4 or POE-INJ-1000G-5)
Ethernet and PoE connections both restrict cable distances to 100 meters between network ports. The POE-REP-1000-4 is the perfect solution to overcome this distance limit by using Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable. The Gigabit PoE extender can extend PoE devices (such as IP cameras, VoIP telephones, wireless access points) up to 100 meters from one another. By connecting the PoE extender for every extra 100 meters of cable, both Ethernet and PoE can be extended to 200 meters, depending on PoE power required and power source.
The PoE extender does not require any additional power supply, while the connected PoE device is fed by a single PoE switch. The PoE extender offers four Ethernet out ports, which are configured automatically for link speed, duplex, crossover, and with full-rate network throughout. The total PoE power can reach up to 60W or 95W, a PoE injector (POE-INJ-1000G-4 or POE-INJ-1000G-5) will be needed to provide IEEE802.3at 4 Pairs (60W or 95W) power.
Maximum Distances for Power Sources
Multiple PoE Extenders can be connected every 100 meters to obtain greater distances. The actual figures depend on the operating conditions. The range is over 24AWG or heavier Cat5e or Cat6 cable except where specified.
