The HDMI-RG-700M is a comprehensive solution, allowing HDMI extensions over coax using QAM to provide video quality up to 1080p with support for distances up to 2297 feet. The device allows a one to one connection, split connection to multiple or more monitors with the addition of multiple or more receivers, or having both the source and display with transmitters and receivers on both sides that are independent from each other. The device supports up to 100 channels (0-99 channels).

Important Usage Notes

  • For short runs that are >100m, you may need to use the included 20db attenuator because of the signal level. If the included 20dB attenuator is too strong, you may need to purchase a lower level attenuator such as 12dB or 9dB, etc. You can try the stronger attenuators first to see if a good signal is available. An attenuator may not be needed if a.) the coaxial cable loses enough signal across the run b.) a splitter drops the signal level sufficiently.
  • Make sure that both RX and TX units are set to the same channel (channel selection is not for tv channels, but a communication channel between the RX and TX units)
  • Although multiple sets of RX and TX units may use a shared cable, this unit is not designed to be mixed with cable tv signals
