Ethernet over Coax / Ethernet Extender
PI Manufacturing's Ethernet over coax or Ethernet over Ethernet extender kit allows you to extend your coax or ethernet signal up to 3937 feet (over coax) or 2297 feet (over Ethernet). The extender consists of a SV unit and an IPC unit. For an application, you can plug a NVR to one of the ports on a switch, and then plug the SV unit to one of the other ports on the switch. From there, you would plug a coaxial cable or Ethernet cable (depending on how you want to extend your connection) from the SV unit to the coaxial end on the IPC unit. On the IPC side, you can either plug in an IP camera or hook up an additional switch so that you can hook up multiple or more IP cameras. If you have multiple IP cameras spanning different locations, you can hook up additional SV units and IPC units for room-to-room interoperability.
This type of solution is ideal for a building or complex that has existing coax cable runs in place or for scenarios where you need to extend existing Ethernet cable runs. Instead of replacing all the cables in the wall for such a long run, using this adapter kit will allow for a quick solution without quality loss.

as advertisedthey worked perfectly right out of the box. For 4 days. Unfortunately I procrastinated about getting surge protection and a lightening strike near the coax line burned them both. But that is my fault, otherwise they worked perfectly. If there were any more in stock I would have ordered replacements. However I had to purchase a similar product from another supplier.I highly recommend these units. but do not be like me get surge protection at the same time.
