100M Bare Copper 22AWG CM S/FTP Cat8 Cable, 8.4mm OD, Solid Wire - Yellow

Used for horizontal and backbone cable runs, Leapmicro Category 8 (Cat8) solid wire cable conforms to the ANSI/TIA-568.2-D standard and is UL listed, meeting safety and product specific requirements. Our Cat8 bulk cable comes in a 100M (328ft) roll. Marked lengths are printed on the cable for keeping track of the usage.

Solid Cat8 cables has a maximum run distance of 78ft (24 meters). They are typically used in horizontal or backbone cabling. A horizontal cabling system extends from the work area of a telecommunications outlet to the horizontal cross-connect of the telecommunications room. A backbone cabling system interconnects networks through telecommunications rooms, equipment rooms, and building entrances.

Our S/FTP cables feature a aluminum foil that is wrapped around each individual twisted pair and an overall flexible foil braid shielding surrounding it. This provides maximum protection from outside interference such as EMI, RFI, and alien cross talk, while still maximizing data rates speeds.

Cat8 cabling is designed and best used in data centers or commercial buildings that require 25G & 40GBASE-T applications. With bandwidth speeds up to 2GHz and transfer speeds up to 40Gbps (four times the speed of Cat6a), the length is limited to a maximum of 24 meters or 78 feet.
