1000ft Bare Copper 23AWG CMR U/FTP Shielded Cat6a Cable, 7.1mm OD, Solid Wire - Blue

Used for horizontal and backbone cable runs, Leapmicro Category 6 Augmented (Cat6a) solid wire cable conforms to the ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 standard and is UL listed, meeting safety and product specific requirements. Our Cat6a bulk cable comes in a 1000ft spool / reel. 2ft increments are marked on the cable for keeping track of the usage.

Solid wire cables feature a single strand (metal wire) that's typically used for long distance runs (up to 100 meters). They are typically used in horizontal or backbone cabling. A horizontal cabling system extends from the work area of a telecommunications outlet to the horizontal cross-connect of the telecommunications room. A backbone cabling system interconnects networks through telecommunications rooms, equipment rooms, and building entrances.

Our U/FTP cables feature a metal foil that is wrapped around each individual twisted pair. This provides protection from EMI and RFI interference, better overall PoE support as a result of lower DC resistance and maximization of data rates.

Cat6a cabling is designed for 10 Gigabit applications. Although Cat6 cables are able to achieve 10 Gigabit speeds, the length is limited to a maximum of 50 meters or 164 feet. Cat6a cables are able to reach distances up to 100 meters or 328 feet, while significantly improving on alien crosstalk.

Leapmicro cables provide premium performance for commercial or residential installations and are TAA compliant, conforming to the U.S. Government's Trade Agreements Act.
