On the PC, go to Start->Run and type in "cmd" and click "ok"
Type "ipconfig" and enter.
This will tell you your local IP address and default gateway IP.
Write down these two sets of numbers.

Connect the unit to the computer using the USB cable only. No power is needed.
|
|
In My Computer, double click on the EV3000 drive (the one with the icon).
|
|
Log in with password "pass" (default id is "root").
Select "Quick Wizard".
Select "Static IP" and click 'Next'.
A screen like this should come up. It will tell you the "IP Address" and "Gateway".

Set "Gateway" to the same address as the PC's Gateway.
Set "IP Address" to be the same as the PC's IP address except for the last three digits. For the last set of digits, select a unique number.
(For example, we chose 27 as the last set of digits, instead of the PC's 17.)
Write down the unit's new IP address. Click 'Next' and then "Finish". Then, unplug the USB cable.

Install the software on the CD.

|
After the software is installed, connect the power cord to the unit.
Unplug the USB cable from the unit if it is still in.
Connect an RJ-45 cable between the unit and a network hub or router.
Connect a BNC video cable to the "in" port on the unit.

On the PC, start up Etrostation.
|

Click on the plus sign to add a node.
|
|
Click on Search.
|
|
Highlight the IP address that shows up, and click 'ok'.
(The IP address should match the one assigned to the unit.)

Under "Node Name", we have given it a name of 'Camera1'
Under "Login Info", we have selected 'Guest'
Click 'ok'.

|
Camera1 will now be listed in the upper right.
If the list is not visible, click on the camera icon in the lower right part of the window (not shown here).

To view video from Camera1, double-click on "Camera1" and double-click on "CH#1".
|
|
Video will now begin to show in the upper left.
|
|
To record video, right click on the camera (CH#1), and select "Edit Record Schedule"
|
|
Click "Enable this schedule".
Select "Always". (Choosing the other options will allow specific recording times to be set)
Click "ok"
|
|
To record, click on the computer icon. The arrow is on red during recording.
To stop recording, click on the computer icon again.

|
The video will be saved to the "save" folder with folders for year, month, and day.
The video is in AVI format.

To access the browser from a web browser, type in the IP address of the unit.
(To get the IP address, right click on "Camera1" and select "Modify Node Info".)
In this example, the web address would be:
http://192.168.90.27
Enter the address for your unit into the web browser address bar. Only Internet Explorer is supported.
The default login is "root" and "pass".

The live video will display. To change camera system settings, click on the icon in the upper right.

|
The settings screen allow basic and advanced settings to be changed.
To return to live video, click on the icon in the upper right.
