First, we will locate the base of the camera to set the camera's ID. The base of the camera (as pictured) contains DIP switches to set the camera ID. To access the inner base, rotate the mounting base carefully, and it will detach. |

Set the camera ID to a value not used by other cameras on the same system. This camera is set to ID 1. Gently remount the base securely.
Other ID's can be set according to the DIP switch chart in the printed manual. Settings for alarm and function modes may be set at this time, or left at default. |

Connect the power wires between the camera power transformer (right) and the wall AC Adaptor (left). Make the wires are secure and that excess wire is insulated. |

Next, we will connect the control wires. Prepare a CAT5 cable for wiring the controller to the camera. For using a single camera, use ports TXD1+ and TXD1-. As pictured, brown goes to TXD1+, and dual color to TXD1-. For each wire to be connected, push in the wire tab (orange), insert the bare wire end, and release the tab. Make sure the wire is securely in. For daisy chaining to other cameras, TXD0- and TXD0+ (left of TXD1-) would also be wired, going to TXD1+ and TXD1- on the other camera. |

This picture shows a close-up view of the camera's in/out control ports. On the camera, connectors TXD1+ (where the brown wire is) and TXD1- (where the dual color wire is) have been wired. |

We will now set up our keyboard controller, the PIH-800 |

The keyboard needs to be configured for the camera type being used. On the bottom of the keyboard, you will see a set of dip switches.
Set 1 to 5 on, and 6 to off (as shown). This setting is valid for Fast Dome cameras, which includes models PIH-7000 and PIH-7600, and PIH-7625. DIP settings for other camera types, and alarm and key sounds, are described in the printed manual. |

Slide the wiring shield (in silver) some distance onto the wiring going towards the keyboard controller. The larger end of the shield should be facing the back of the keyboard. |

On the back of the keyboard controller, locate the IN port. There will be a black plug sitting in the port.
Unplug the black connector from the "in" port. |

A pin diagram of the keyboard is shown. |

Put the wires into the connector:
Plug the assembly into the "in" port (pictured). Fasten the wiring shield. |

Plug in the power plug for the camera. Connect power for the keyboard. Connect the BNC video cable between the camera and a monitor. Plug in the camera's AC adaptor to the wall. The camera should initialize at this point. The keyboard may now be used to control the camera. To select camera 1, press '1' and then 'CAM'. |
