Step 1:
To configure the DVR you must enter the setup menu by clicking
the setup icon

Step2: To configure the network feature click the "Network Setup" tab. You may either configure the DVR to match network settings or you can configure your network to match the DVR. The DVR and any networked PCs must have the same NetMask, Gateway, and IP (except for the last section which must be unique). In this example the IP address for the DVR is 192.168.1.100. Therefore, the IP address of connected PCs must have the IP address, 192.168.1.xxx (replacing xxx with any number that is unique to the network).

Step: 3
The default port is 88, however if this port is already being used it can be changed. Take note of the network port and the IP address, because the will be used to login to the DVR. Remote monitoring is available in 2 formats, MPEG-4 and JPEG. MPEG-4 is smooth flowing, however requires more bandwidth. If remote monitoring is not desired you may select "Disable" from the dropdown list. The network feature allows for DVR setup over the network. Next to remote setup select "Enable" if this feature is desired, or "Disable" if not.

Step 4:
You may now click the icon in the top right corner Click on option below to configure another feature.

Step 5:
From the desktop of the PC you wish to use to access the DVR, right click the "My Network Places" icon and then left click "properties" to get to the network connections window displayed below. You may also get to this window by going to the control panel and double click "Network Connections." Once you see the window below right click on the network adapter that is currently connected and then left click "properties."

Step 6: From the "General" tab select and highlight "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and then click properties.

Once your network settings have been changed click "ok." You must also click "ok" on the previous window, "Local Area Connection Properties."

Step 9:
To access the DVR you must open a web browser and enter the IP address of the DVR followed by a colon (:) and the network port the DVR is on. In this is example the IP address of the DVR is 192.168.1.100 and the network port was 88, therefore we enter 192.168.1.100:88. After the address is entered you may press enter.

Step 11:
The main menu should now be displayed. There are 5 options available. The top menu selection will either read "MPEG4" or "JPEG" depending on the monitor format you select. Clicking either "MPEG4" or "JPEG" will allow for live monitoring of your DVR. The "Playback" section will allow for playback of all saved recordings from your DVR. The "Setup" section will allow for configuring your DVR. This option will only work if you selected remote setup from the DVR. The "Download" option will download a media player from the DVR unit. This player will playback any saved recordings you transfer from your DVR to the PC. The "Home" selection will return you to the main menu.

Step 1:
Click the top menu selection. It will either read "MPEG4" or "JPEG" depending on the monitor format you selected. Clicking either "MPEG4" or "JPEG" will allow for live monitoring of your DVR. A login box will display. Enter your login information. The default login information is admin/1111.

Step 2:
You are able to view all four channels live (the example below has only one cannel in use). To select a channel to view, you must click the check box next to the channel number on the right side of the screen. To view a channel in full screen, you must click the channel.

Step 1:
The "Playback" selection will allow for playback of all saved recordings from your DVR. Selecting a specific recording is very simple. Select a date from the calendar in the top right corner. Then click the + next to a specific camera. All recording times for that date will display. Simply click a time for playback Use the play controls to play, pause, stop, fast forward, rewind, and skip.

You can also save specific recordings to the PC. Select a recording
and click the save icon |
