The NO-DS-1220 from PI Manufacturing is a 3U rackmount hard drive storage system that allows up to 12 hot swappable SATA II hard drives to be placed, essentially making the rackmount enclosure a huge storage apparatus for hard drives. The capacity of the rackmount enclosure can support up to 24TB (using 2 TB drives). The 3U rackmount storage system also comes with a 4-port eSATA PCI/PCI-X RAID controller that supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and JBOD, making mirroring and striping possible. The NO-DS-1220 is ideal for applications where a large storage space is needed with the extra benefit of RAID functionality added into it.
